Israeli occupation forces shot and killed, on Saturday evening, a Palestinian child at the entrance to the Al-Aroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

Palestinian youths protested the Israeli military presence, prompting soldiers to open fire at Palestinian youths with live ammunition and tear gas canisters.

Israeli soldiers stationed in a military tower at the entrance to the Al-Aroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, shot and critically injured a 16-year-old Palestinian child in the back with a live round and caused dozens of Palestinian youths to sustain inhalation injuries from tear gas exposure.

Medical sources at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that a child was critically injured by live bullets in the back and chest, and its crews performed resuscitation efforts during the transfer to Al-Yamamah Hospital in Bethlehem.

Doctors at the hospital pronounced the child, identified as Milad Monther Al-Ra’ey, 16, deceased, as a result of a critical gunshot wound, and the Ministry of Health confirmed.

For its part, the Hebrew Channel 14 alleged that the Israeli army “eliminated a Palestinian who endangered their lives”, failing to provide any justification for the killing of the child.

Family members and local youths gathered at the Al-Yamamah Hospital to view the body of the slain child, and marched while carrying the body, and chanting for redemption.

After killing the child, the soldiers completely sealed the refugee camp, and prevented the Palestinians from entering and leaving it.

Dozens of youngsters protesters the Milad’s killing and the escalating Israeli violations, while Israeli soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs at them.
